Give used oil a responsible next step
Used lubricating oil from a workshop or industrial operation needs a planned collection and recycling route. Apex Operations helps businesses arrange used oil collection and environmentally responsible recycling, with certificates of collection provided.
ROSE Foundation approved collection
Apex Operations is ROSE Foundation approved. ROSE stands for Recycling Oil Saves the Environment. The Foundation promotes responsible management of used oil in South Africa.
Our commitment is reflected in safe collection, responsible handling and documentation for your records. Learn more about the Foundation through its official ROSE Foundation website.
Engine, hydraulic, gear and industrial oils
Our collection enquiries cover used engine oil, hydraulic oil, gear oil and industrial oil. Tell us what the oil was used for and whether its contents are known. This information helps the team discuss suitability and arrangements before a collection is agreed.
If you have a mixture or are unsure what is in a container, describe that clearly. Do not assume every liquid or waste stream can be handled as used lubricating oil; ask us about your specific material.
Discuss handling requirements before collection
Tell the team how your oil is currently stored, the container or tank type and the collection point. Share any known contamination, leaks or access concerns when you enquire so the collection requirements can be discussed in advance.
For site-specific storage and handling questions, contact our team before making arrangements. Requirements depend on the material and the site; the website enquiry form is a starting point for that conversation.
Certificates of collection
Apex provides certificates of collection for your business records. Discuss the company information and collection details you need recorded when making the booking. Keep your collection documentation with your other waste management records.
If you require additional paperwork, ask the team to confirm what can be supplied. A certificate of collection should not be described as a different document without checking the applicable requirements.
Buying used oil and arranging recycling
Apex buys used oil and arranges collection. If you want to sell your oil, share its type, approximate volume and location to discuss a quote. We do not sell new lubricants or recycled oil products.
Arrange a responsible collection
